Vanessa Mills Makeup Artistry (VMMA) was established in 2002 due to the overwhelming number of clients and potential students that were looking for private instruction, and further education in makeup artistry. VMMA was created to aid those individuals expanding their talents, education, and careers within the industry.

Since then, VMMA has helped develop successful artists internationally and throughout Canada.

VMMA was founded by Vanessa Mills who has been working professionally as a makeup artist for over a decade. Vanessa has been a featured makeup artist for a number of national and international publications. Her work ranges from celebrities, runway, fashion and editorial to the avant-garde.

The uniqueness of VMMA is that you will not find 10 - 30 students in a classroom setting. Instead, you will be given private, one-on-one instruction. Our instructors are committed to the utmost quality of education in makeup artistry. You will be trained by top professionals that are continuously working in the makeup field. Please note, VMMA only uses high quality makeup products in all our kits i.e.: Smashbox, Makeup Forever, RCMA, Ben Nye and Sephora to name a few.

On average, students who take private lessons will progress faster in their makeup artistry studies than those who take group lessons. A study has shown that, private lessons are always the preferred method since it ensures the student has a more comprehensive makeup artistry learning experience and allows the student to progress at their own pace (and often a faster pace as compared to other students). *Private lessons are highly recommended for makeup artistry study.
